It’s that time again! Registration is now open for MDC’s Summer Owner Meeting on August 2-3, at The Gwen Hotel in downtown Chicago. Our last meeting was record-breaking—let’s carry on the momentum and rock the house! The meeting opens on Wednesday, August 2, at 9:00 am with our Deep Dive sessions, and will conclude on Thursday after the evening cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception.
We know our owners are busy—so we’ve tried to make this simple! As an owner, sign in to MDC Connect to RSVP. If you are not yet connected to MDC Connect, just click “Not Connected? Sign up now!” to automatically get a log in and password. Once into MDC Connect, click on the yellow “Owner Meetings” button. Review the information on each tab, then click RSVP and mark your calendar! Our deadline to RSVP is Friday, June 30.
Attend as a Guest
Not an owner? We are always open to discussing attendance as a credit union guest! Contact Jeff Kline to find out more about making our guest list.
Agenda Looking to the Future: The Latest Trends Impacting our Business
The accelerating pace of technological change is the most creative force—and the most destructive one—in the financial services ecosystem today. And with continual improvements to technology and consumers’ increasing reliance on it, changes will continue to happen at a feverish pace.
As technology integrates even deeper into consumers’ lives, our industry is feeling the profound effects. Come learn about the latest trends in consumer behavior, data analytics, fin-tech, social media, demographics, and mobile. Talk with subject matter experts and your peers about how those trends influence every facet of our business—from leading diverse teams and driving innovation, to creating unique member experiences and leveraging mountains of data—and how we can thrive in the midst of change.
5 Reasons for owners to Attend
1. Networking you can’t beat—Learn from, chat with, and challenge our credit union leaders, industry experts, and outside speakers in a stimulating environment.
2. Together, we’re better—Collaboration is at the heart of the credit union movement and that’s what MDC is all about.
3. Learn from the best—We have invited unique speakers from both outside and inside our industry to hear different perspectives and help us think critically.
4. Anticipate what’s ahead—Take a look at our agenda. We are focusing on the issues that are top of mind for the future of credit unions.
5. We have fun—You’re going to learn a ton, work hard, and (most importantly) have lots of fun along the way; we promise!
Who from our owner CU’s should attend? Professionals leading…
• Member Experience
• Data Analytics
• Small Business Services
• (Your All-Stars!)
Attendance is FREE to our Owners
Owner participation and feedback are critical to MDC’s success. We strive to understand which issues are on our network’s horizon and how we can make our owners’ lives bigger and better.
MDC Deep Dive Sessions
We encourage all of our owners to attend the optional (yet awesome) MDC Deep Dive Sessions on Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 11:00 am. This is a great way to get direct exposure to our favorite experts before the big event kicks off at 1:00 pm. Look for topic details on the registration site in the Agenda tab.
Please RSVP Now!
To assist us in planning for this event, please RSVP whether you plan on attending the session or not. If we don’t hear from you via the registration site, you will get a call from one of the MDC staff or Board of Directors, so please help us out and RSVP as soon as possible, but no later than June 30.
For the convenience of our owners, all presentation materials will now be delivered electronically through OnBoard. So get out your fancy devices—OnBoard will provide you with easy access through the web or the Onboard iPad app. The iPad app annotation tools include the ability to take notes electronically directly on presentations for later reference. These tools will help ensure that our owners get the most out of each session and the overall MDC owner meeting experience. Please remember to bring your iPad or laptop to the meeting! Look for an email from Kent Zimmer about two weeks before the meeting with important information on how to connect with OnBoard.
Let’s get them answered! Please feel free to email Sarah Lietz with any questions you may have.
